Originally titled 'Strawberry Blonde', 'Rocketgirl vs The Robots' was one of our first mobile games. Inspired by the arcade classic 'Bomb Jack', the game featured fullscreen scrolling, loads of levels and ran on practically any handset that supported Java - even those with 96*65 screens. It was quite a challenge fitting that much action into 128k of heap memory!
Rocketgirl was originally released in 2004, published by Kuju entertainment - and whilst it might look a bit dated by today's standards we've still got quite a soft spot for her, so much so that she reappeared in 2013 in the power-up crazy endless platformer 'Fruit Bomb'. We think she'll be making further appearances in the future too...
